Dear Members,

Last Wednesday it was time for the First Round Cattle Judging, organised by RFS. Although this could not take place physically as in other years, this was still a great success. By means of the pre-recorded videos, Members could still get acquainted with judging and scoring the cows. After the successful RFS activity on Wednesday, it was time for the Surprise Activity organised by the Board on Thursday. The content of the activity was kept secret for a long time, but it was eventually revealed that it contained a Murder Mystery Party! Board Member President, Anne van der Peet, was murdered and it was up to the Members to find out by who, where and how she was murdered. In the end, Board Member Secretary, Anne Pennings, turned out to have committed the murder in the Zodiac room with a Board clog!

It is now week 2 of period 5, and with four activities it promises to be a busy week! The Student Representative Evening will take place on Monday. The evening will start with Henk Bovenhuis of Program Committee Animal Sciences, who will give a presentation about the data analysis courses that the WUR has to offer. This presentation is given as the quantitative skills indicated that student have trouble with data analysis. Then we will discuss the PC-AS reports from the previous months. On Tuesday, Porculum organises a Pubcollege in collaboration with Vencomatic. There will a lecture and discussion on stable emissions. A Discussion Evening is organised by the Discuscie on Wednesday. This evening is all about "Re-rooting the Dutch Food System".  And the Introduction Lesson by PFC will take place on Thursday. This will take place online this year and will be a lesson in equestrian pilates! The founder of this, Sara Ouwehand, will introduce the Members to this form of body use in an interactive way.

Have a good week!

Dear Members,

Period 4 of academic year 2020-2021 has nearly finished and the last study days before the exams have arrived. The Board wises all the Members good luck with the exams!

Last week contained multiple fun and interesting activities. It started with the RFS Academy on Tuesday 2 March 2021. The Academy had ‘Practical solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions’ as a common theme. Everyone was allowed to choose two out of three companies of which they would like to see the presentation. On Wednesday 3 March 2021, Porculum organised their Crazy 99. The participants had a whole day to do 99 small activities. The groups started very enthusiastic, and even some groups managed to complete all the activities. The last activity of the week was organised by the Sollicie. The second Sollicie Evening started with presentation of the companies. Afterwards, the closed application letters were reviewed. It was a very useful evening and I think everyone has learned a lot. It was a very interesting week, with a lot of educational and fun activities.

Kind regards,

The Board
