INTERNSHIP/ THESIS OFFER

Zetadec is a Dutch research & development and consultancy company in the field of compound feed technology and processing of raw materials. Zetadec offers services to develop new products and processes. These services can either be product formulation, process development, conceptualization & optimization of manufacturing lines, with focus on the interaction between raw materials and (feed) processing equipment. Additional services include design of experiments, mathematical modelling, statistics and data mining. Zetadec is experienced in feed manufacturing unit operations such as, grinding, mixing, pelleting, extrusion, high shear granulation, cooling and coating. Zetadec has access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. In its own laboratory Zetadec performs analyses on functionality, texture, flowability, hardness & durability and can set-up “proof-of-principle” experiments. In addition, Zetadec operates a pilot plant in which processing trials are performed.

Are you...

  • An MSc or BSc student in Animal Nutrition, Food Technology (or a similar degree)

  • A proactive problem solver who is flexible, result driven and open minded

  • Eager to gain practical experience during your internship/thesis

  • Willing to learn and work independently

  • Available for a 4-6 months full-time period starting from January 2023 (or later) We offer the opportunity to:

  • Work in innovative, open, and international working environment

  • Perform laboratory experiments and/or assist in factory/pilot plant tests

  • Increase your knowledge on, and experience in (feed) technology related subjects.

    Examples of topics are:

    - The textural properties of feed: How are these affected by raw material choice and how do these properties affect performance parameters?

    - The effects of feed processing on animal performance?

    - Determination of a particle size reduction model

    - Evaluation of energy consumption in feed factories

    - Any other topic of your choice which is related to feed technology
